Objective:
The purpose of COC Amsterdam is twofold:
- personal emancipation, and
- advocacy
for the benefit of the LGBTQ+ community in the Greater Amsterdam region.
The bylaws define our objective as follows:
art. 2.1 The Association serves a public interest and its purpose is: to strive for a diverse and inclusive society that works towards equality and emancipation, so that people can fully participate and develop to their full potential, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or expression and gender characteristics, and to do anything related or conducive to this.

Remuneration Policy:
All volunteers of COC Amsterdam, including board members, are unpaid. However, volunteers can be reimbursed for expenses they have incurred for the association on a claim basis.
